Handicap Conversion

DivotsPete Masters, a seven-handicapper from Cambridgeshire, became a world champion golfer in 1999 when he won the first ever World Ice Golf Championship. Wearing thermal underwear, a waterproof suit, and a "Sherlock Holmes hat that somebody lent me," Masters took advantage of a rise in temperature - the needle hovered around the 7 degree mark during the tournament - to shoot rounds of 40, 35, 33, and 34. He won by a shot from another Englishman, Simon Ware-Lane.

Quotes"The average expert player - if he is lucky - hits six, eight or ten real good shots in a round. The rest are good misses."
- Tommy Armour
